Greetings from the Housing Authority of the City of Fort Myers' (HACFM) Board of Commissioners, staff and residents and welcome to our new and improved website. This site has been created to provide helpful information to our residents, vendors/contractors and general public. Within this site, you will find information on how to apply for both the Public Housing and Housing Choice Voucher Programs; additionally, you can download the respective applications for admissions into our housing assistance programs. This website has been designed with the user in mind, therefore opportunities for you to access important and time sensitive information that can be useful in your search for housing assistance, employment and contact/vendor opportunities has been strategically located within the site.
For your convenience all relevant housing authority plans and reports, to include our Agency Plan, Annual Report, PHAS and SEMAP Reports may be reviewed and downloaded by the reader. We also provide links to local, state, and federal agencies that you may find beneficial in your search for quality rental housing and homeownership opportunities.
If you are not on the mailing list to receive a copy of our quarterly newsletter "Keeping in Touch" the latest edition can be found on this website along with information on how you can get a copy of past editions. Our Resident Services link provides up to date information pertaining to all active resident programs currently being implemented by the housing authority. By utilizing the Housing Choice Voucher and Public Housing Program options you are able to review the dates and locations of where and when housing assistance applications will be accepted.
For contractors and vendors interested in doing business with the HACFM on the much anticipated HOPE VI project and other ventures either currently underway or being proposed, you may register as a vendor/contractor under the appropriate link, which will automatically register your company to receive information concerning all bid opportunities offered by the HACFM. Employment opportunities are listed under the employment link, there you will be able to view all open positions with accompanying details about the application due date, job description and job qualifications desired by the HACFM.
We have included an entire section on our 2005 HOPE VI Project; to include site plans and construction plans for both the rental and homeownership phases. Project budgets may also be found in this section with complete narratives of the timing and phasing of the project.
This site has been created with the end user in mind; therefore, we have included as much information about our programs and projects that we felt is relevant and meaningful. We trust your visit to this site will be helpful to you in your search for information relating to our agency. Again, welcome to the website for the HACFM.
